About us
Prism Improvement was founded in 2017 and has since carved its reputation by providing operational improvement support and experience to NHS Trusts and Systems. Prism operates within the Urgent & Emergency Care, Planned Care and diagnostic space. We do this by blending teams of highly experienced operational, clinical and programme delivery leads with a delivery model that integrates directly with the teams on the shop floor. Our philosophy is to build improvement initiatives with teams, offering constructive challenge and guidance where appropriate, whilst acting as doers to move actions along at pace, thereby enhancing their capacity to improve.


Delivery Lead (Senior Consultant)

Salary: £50,000 – £63,000 depending on experience

Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our experienced healthcare consulting team. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading and managing multifaceted transformation initiatives from conception to implementation, developing innovative solutions to complex problems, and providing expert advice and guidance to senior leaders. The role will work closely with the Prism corporate and programme team to ensure effective delivery of outcomes. Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering complex programmes on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting engagements, managing programme teams, and working closely with clients with overall responsibility of programme delivery against contractual specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality, results-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Supports programme teams to operate using the Prism tools and methodology throughout the duration f the programme
  • Develop and implement programme management best practices and processes to ensure consistent programme delivery.
  • Coordinates the specialist input of Prism Experts (SME) and the wrap around support to ensure successful delivery and effective clinical engagement
  • Ensure effective communication and engagement with other Prism team members including the consultant/ workstream lead, subject matter experts and the senior corporate team
  • Day-to-day client support, coordinating the link between Prism, the relevant management team and clinical staff teams
  • Analyse data and develop recommendations for partner organisations to improve performance and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to oversee the development of clear and concise presentations and reports.
  • Competent in the use and application of Microsoft Packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Stay up-to-date with developing healthcare policy, guidance and performance initiatives, sharing knowledge and insights with clients and team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, quality of care, and financial performance for our healthcare partners.
  • Adaptability and resilience to fluctuating pressures and deadlines and the ability to support a programme team to work effectively during times of pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Accomplished in core consulting skills, demonstrating areas of specific strength/depth around analysis, problem solving, communications, project management and client management
  • Mentor, motivate and coach members of the programme team helping to develop their skills and grow their careers.
  • Working on site with clients approx. 80% of the time, depending on the programme.

Skills & Experience

Project/Change Management

  • Knowledge and experience of leading and delivering change projects.
  • Experienced in programme and change management using formal and hybrid project management methodologies to shape large multi stream engagements.
  • Experience of effective change management and driving cultural and behavioural change.
  • Effective management of projects to budget.
  • Clear understanding of developing return on Investment (ROI) for changes agreed with senior clients.

Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Clear understanding of how change can be better supported using data and digital technology to strengthen evidence base.
  • Able to identify what analysis is required, work with our analytics team to shape outputs to meet specific client needs and scenarios at any stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Experienced in leading large internal and client teams to tackle complex operational challenges, identify and mitigate risk.
  • Able to practically present data to tell a compelling story, identify improvements and propose solutions.
  • Able to develop project specific performance indicators and develop mechanisms for the ongoing monitoring of progress against targets.

Communication

  • Able to engage and influence senior clients with sophisticated oral, written and presentation skills to structure clear, powerful arguments and storylines.
  • With minimal oversight, ability able to put together clear and impactful reports and presentations suitable for the senior clients on an engagement.

Team Management

  • Ability to effectively manage a team to deliver on time whilst maintaining team morale and the quality of outputs.
  • Role models adaptability and resilience.
  • Coaches internal and client team members to develop their skills and performance.
  • Ability to effectively plan and coordinate on-site working arrangements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Builds strong, trust-based advisory relationships with senior clients.
  • Able to influence and convey credibility across product offerings and articulate the benefits of bringing them to bear in a client setting.
  • Ability to engage and interact with stakeholders at all levels, to ensure progress against deliverables is maintained throughout the course of an engagement.

Requirements for the Role

Essential

  • Proven track record of good communication skills including but not limited to written and verbal, and the ability to structure and deliver high-quality presentations.

  • Analytical skills, with experience of data analysis.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage client engagements and work to deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Experience of working within and / or leading projects including application of PMO methodologies. 
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to hybrid work including travel and work at client sites approx. 60%-80% depending on the programme.
  • Educated to degree level and / or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Experience of NHS and/ or associated healthcare settings.

Delivery Consultant

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and efficiencies through undertaking standardised diagnostic, quantitative and qualitative methodology
  • Contribute towards establishing robust programme and project delivery plans
  • Aligning delivery to meet milestones in line with overall programme objectives through tracking and delivery of agreed KPIs, consideration of internal and client resourcing, and escalating risks and issues appropriately
  • Incorporate specialist input of Prism Experts (SME) and providing wrap around support to ensure successful delivery and effective clinical engagement
  • Contributing to producing high quality workstream outputs
  • Ensures that all deliverables align to the Prism standards, tools and methodology and supports the delivery team to work in this way.
  • Day-to-day client support, acting as the link between Prism, the relevant management team and clinical staff teams
  • Ensure effective communication and engagement with other Prism team members including delivery lead, subject matter expertss and the senior corporate team
  • Professional and measured communications with the client through a range of formats, including email, formal presentations, and reporting and informal updates and verbal catch ups
  • Able to deputise for the programme delivery lead, when required
  • Accomplished in core consulting skills with one or more areas of specific strength/depth around analysis, problem solving, communications, project management and client management

  • Experience in the application if how change can be supported using data to strengthen evidence base.
  • Able to select appropriate analytical methodology to meet the requirements of a particular aspect of the programme deliverable.
  • Experience dealing with operational challenges.
  • Able to analyse data for the ongoing monitoring of progress against targets.
  • Application of Microsoft tools to produce appropriate graphs and accompanying narrative for client-facing presentations

Project Management

  • Able to provide project support Delivery Leads including management of the programme plan, risks and issues log etc., as required

  • Experienced in the use of project management disciplines for smaller, single stream projects     and teams, including project management tools & methodologies.
  • Application of structure to delivery and design as well as an excellent attention to detail when necessary
